THE ANCHOR SHOW
The curated night. Touring professionals, a full club rendered down to the bouncers and the VIP balcony, and the room the Raindance Immersive jury walked into.

What The Anchor Show is
The Anchor Show is the flagship of Failed To Render: a booked, professional stand-up comedy show every Thursday at 9:00 PM Central inside our own VRChat venue, the Failed To Render Club. The lineup is curated from touring comics who work real clubs the rest of the week, and the room is built like one: a bar, bouncers on the door, a VIP balcony, a green room and a brick wall with the neon sign over the stage.
This is the show that won Best Immersive Experience at Raindance Immersive, and the show The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, CNET and Variety came to see. Kenan Thompson's nationwide talent search ran through this room, and Howie Mandel came out to LA to put on a headset and drop in.
Who performs
Headliners and features from the touring circuit, plus the strongest regulars coming up through Tomedy Night and Bomb Voyage!. Since 2020 more than 750 professional comedians have worked our stages, and Failed To Render has run more than 1,500 live shows, which makes it the longest-running professional comedy club in virtual reality.
How to watch
Every Thursday streams live on Kick. To sit in the club, join the Failed To Render group in VRChat and enter the group instance before 9 PM Central. A VR headset (Quest, Index, Frame, Beyond) gives you the best seat in the house, but VRChat also runs in desktop mode on PC, so the headset is optional. The crowd is a mix of both.
Booking
Touring comics who want a Thursday spot, and venues interested in a hybrid night where a live room and the VR club run the same show at once, can reach us through the booking form. Read about the world-first hybrid shows we ran in Las Vegas.
